Saiyaara star teams up with blockbuster filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar
The yet-to-be-titled film will be a standalone story that blends high-octane action with heartfelt romance, a genre that Zafar has mastered over the years. Known for hits like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, Ali Abbas Zafar is reportedly returning to his storytelling roots with this project.
An industry insider stated, "Ali wanted to go back to the genre that gave him so much love. He was blown away by Ahaan’s emotional depth and screen presence in Saiyaara. His ability to handle dramatic and intense scenes convinced Ali that Ahaan could headline a full-fledged action film.”
Sources also confirmed that Aditya Chopra played a key role in recommending Ahaan for the role. The filmmaker reportedly felt that a relatively new face would bring freshness and unpredictability to the story. "Aditya suggested that Ali cast Ahaan. He believes the actor’s underexposure is his biggest strength. After Saiyaara’s success, audiences are eager to see what Ahaan does next, which makes his casting all the more exciting,” the report added.
