Anjali Anand calls Jaya Bachchan a fun person; says she has made her laugh
Anjali Anand shared that veteran actress Jaya Bachchan had a playful side to her. She stated that the actress was unlike what people thought of her.
Mumbai: Anjali Anand opened up about her time with Jaya Bachchan in a recent interview. The actress, who has been vocal about her admiration for the senior actress, revealed that she had a scene that was rarely seen on camera.
Anjali shared screen space with the veteran actress in Karan Johar’s 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She played the role of Ranveer Singh's sister, Gayatri "Golu” Randhawa. Mrs Bachchan, on the other hand, played the role of her strict grandmother.
While Bachchan is often showcased as an unapproachable person, Anjali stated that she was a "fun" person.

Sitting with Filmygyan, the actress stated, "She’s a grandmother, so she’s walking with her granddaughter, and someone is coming (with their phone). She doesn’t know what paps look like… she doesn’t walk on the streets, they all live in their palaces, they roam around in their cars. They’re done, now they are resting. She’s a sweetheart, she has fed me when I’m hungry."
Further, Anjali talked about the chemistry she shared with the veteran actress on the set. She claimed that Mrs Bachchan loved to take jibes at people and had a playful side to her.
She added, "She has made me laugh in the middle of scenes. We used to hang out the most. I used to hang out only with her because all my scenes were with her. It’s so much fun, she’s such a fun person — the first thing she’ll do when she comes is pull everyone’s leg. And she’ll say the funniest of things. She’s not even 1% of what people show … not at all.”
In the past, Mrs Bachchan has clashed with the paparazzi. Her videos often leave many thinking of her as a rude and grumpy person.
