Mumbai: Aryan Khan, who made a banger directorial debut through The Ba***ds of Bollywood, was initially apprehensive about directing the show. However, Shah Rukh Khan's advice altered his mindset. Shah Rukh opened up about it at an event held in Mumbai with fans.
Answering a fan's question at a meet and greet event that took place on his 60th birthday, SRK revealed Aryan's initial thoughts about being a director. He told the fan that he never gave his children unsolicited advice. He added that his son thought of hiring a director to direct his show. "He was not sure if he could direct or not, and whether they should hire some other director,” said the King of Bollywood. He added, "But I feel that those who write and then direct themselves become better directors in a sense. So, I told him to follow his heart and direct it. Dekhenge kya hoga, kitna bura kar lega (We’ll see what happens. How bad can you do).”
Further, he stated that with the advice along with the support of the team, Aryan was able to do it all by himself. "When you give this kind of freedom to creative people, they do a better job than telling them what to do,” said the actor.
Aryan's The Ba***ds of Bollywood is co-produced by Manav Chauhan and Bilal Siddiqui. It stars talented actors like Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and Manoj Pahwa.
Recently, choreographer Mudassar Khan revealed that Aryan addressed his father as "sir" on the set of the show. He stated, "After watching, he said, ‘Very good,’ and before leaving, he placed his hand on my head. We had also made another pre-visualisation video to help us shoot effectively on set. As he was leaving, I asked Aryan if we should show him the other video. Aryan then asked him, ‘Sir, if you have time, can we show you one more video?’ I was stunned to see that because if I were in his place, I would have said, ‘Daddy, see what I’ve done!’”
