Ever since the show premiered, several housemates’ names became the popular contestants and there have been speculations about who is the highest-paid contestant, Amaal Mallik or Gaurav Khanna. Well, looks like we finally have an answer to that.
Several reports stated that Gaurav Khanna is the highest-paid contestant and turns out it is indeed true. Now, his paycheck per week is out and it will make your jaws drop. Meanwhile, the controversial show has entered its second week with ugly fights already erupting inside the house.
Bigg Boss 19: Who is the highest-paid contestant?
According to Indian Express report, Anupamaa star Gaurav Khanna, best known for playing Anuj Kapadiya, is the highest-paid contestant on the reality show. He is being paid Rs 17.5 lakh per week, which means his per day paycheck is around Rs 2.5 lakh. It is also reported that he has a new project in his kitty already which will premiere on Star or Colors once Bigg Boss 19 concludes. With this, Gaurav Khanna has entered the list of top six highest-paid contestants in the history of Bigg Boss.
The second highest-paid contestant on the show is singer Amaal Mallik, who is reportedly being paid Rs 8.75 lakh per week, which is Rs 1.25 lakh per day.
However, Bigg Boss 12 contestant Karanveer Bohra was paid Rs 20 lakh a week. The highest-paid contestant in the history of Bigg Boss remains international star Pamela Anderson, who was paid Rs 2.5 crore for her three-day stint in the reality show.
Other contestants, including Ashnoor Kaur and Awez Darbar are reportedly being paid Rs 6 lakh per week. Meanwhile, Pranit More and Mridul Tiwari are the lowest paid contestant of the season.
