Bigg Boss 19, Episode 16 highlights: Kunickaa slammed for personal attack on Tanya Mittal

New Delhi: The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, aired on September 8, unfolded with a mix of drama, emotional confessions and heated arguments that kept the house buzzing. From intense nomination tasks to deeply personal revelations, the day offered a rollercoaster of emotions for both contestants and viewers.

Episode 16 of Bigg Boss Season 19 began on a lighter note with Abhishek Bajaj teasing Shehbaz Badesha about his belly fat, which left the housemates in splits. However, the mood soon shifted when Abhishek clashed with Zeishan Quadri over a gas burner left on in the kitchen. He insisted the issue was serious, while others, including Shehbaz and Nehal, argued that Zeishan had already apologised. The house quickly divided into groups and exposed underlying tensions.

Tanya Mittal also found herself at the centre of a confrontation with Kunickaa Sadanand. A disagreement in the kitchen escalated when Tanya discovered a worm in the vegetables. Kunickaa accused her of lacking basic household skills, adding that her mother hadn’t “taught her values.” This comment struck a nerve and prompted Tanya to break down. She accused Kunickaa of making personal attacks and refusing to let her speak. The quarrel escalated into one of the day’s biggest flashpoints.

Another subplot revolved around Mridul Tiwari and Natalia, whose friendship appeared to hit a rough patch. Mridul confessed that he considered Natalia his closest ally but admitted feeling hurt when she interacted with other contestants in the same way she spoke to him. Natalia, however, was quick to point out his lack of support when her bed was sealed. She also accused him of giving more attention to Abhishek and his circle.

The nomination task added more fuel to the fire. Contestants were paired and asked to silently count for 19 minutes, with others allowed to distract them. Baseer Ali, who was safe as captain, received a special power to save one female contestant and chose Nehal Chudasama.

The first pair, Abhishek and Ashnoor Kaur, sparked disagreement when Abhishek pressed the buzzer too soon. In the next round, Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajkar were disqualified after Abhishek interfered by locking the door, leaving Awez visibly frustrated. Finally, when Tanya performed the task, Kunickaa again targeted her, mocking her profession and family background.

Tanya broke down during the task after being pushed to her limits. Surrounded by housemates, she revealed heartbreaking details of her personal struggles. Between sobs, she shared: “Papa mara meko, mumma bachati thi. Bohot mushkil se business karne ki permission mili, bahar nikalne ki saree pehne ki. Mai 19 saal ki thi meri shaadi ho jaati. Mai toh marne chali gayi thi. Maine bohot ladayi ladi hai.”

Her confession that she had once contemplated ending her life left fellow contestants shaken. Gaurav Khanna reassured her that the entire house stood by her, while Shehbaz urged her not to let others gain footage from her tears. Even as she continued to cry inconsolably, many contestants, including Pranit More, Amaal Mallik and Zeishan, condemned Kunickaa’s remarks, calling them unfair and insensitive.

By the end of the episode, the atmosphere in the house had grown heavier. Tanya’s breakdown brought many contestants together in her support, while others questioned the motives behind repeated taunts and escalating conflicts. Baseer Ali, meanwhile, complained about feeling sidelined during weekend episodes and claimed that the current lineup lacked competitive energy.
