New Delhi: Bollywood star Deepika Padukone made her daughter Dua’s first birthday extra special by baking a homemade cake, calling it her “love language”. The actor shared a glimpse of the intimate celebration on Instagram on Wednesday, a day after the little one turned one.

In the post, Deepika revealed her heartfelt gesture with the caption, “My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday!” The image displayed a simple yet elegant chocolate cake on a white stand, decorated with a single golden candle at its centre. Pastel flowers surrounded the table, adding a soft charm, while a candle burned in the background. A slice had already been cut, making the moment feel more personal.

Fans were quick to react to the post, flooding the comment section with affection. Messages like “aww” and “cutest” dominated the thread. While Deepika was celebrating her daughter’s milestone at home, Ranveer Singh was spotted at a dubbing studio in Bandra on Tuesday. The actor posed for photographers outside, though he kept the day low-key.

The couple welcomed Dua on September 8, 2024, six years after their grand Lake Como wedding in 2018. Last Diwali, the pair had formally introduced their daughter to the world, unveiling her name in a heartfelt note. They wrote, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude.”

On the work front, both actors have busy schedules. Ranveer Singh is preparing for Aditya Dhar’s next project, Dhurandhar, and will also headline Farhan Akhtar’s highly anticipated Don 3. Deepika, meanwhile, was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which brought together an ensemble including Ranveer, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff.

She has also been confirmed as the lead in Atlee’s ambitious sci-fi film alongside Allu Arjun, tentatively titled AA22 x A6, produced by Sun Pictures. Additionally, speculation is rife that she will share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in King, one of the most anticipated projects on the horizon.
