According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan's luxurious bungalow Jalsa in Mumbai was gifted to Amitabh Bachchan by producer Ramesh Sippy after the success of his 1982 film Satta Pe Satta. The movie also stars Hema Malini, Amjad Khan, Sudhir, Shakti Kapoor, Kanwaljit Singh, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeet, among others.
Meanwhile, Jalsa boasts an elaborate art collection, including paintings and sculptures, that reflects the family's appreciation for fine art. The house also features antique furniture, rugs, Turkish carpets and striking chandeliers. The house also features a well-equipped gym, a library that has a vast collection of books and outdoor spaces such as lush green lawns and well-maintained gardens.
Apart from Jalsa, Amitabh Bachchan also owns numerous other properties in Juhu, including Vatsa, Janak and Pratiksha. Pratiksha holds a sentimental value as Amitabh Bachchan's first bungalow in Mumbai. It was the residence of his late parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan.
His other property, Janak, is estimated at Rs 50 crore. He acquired the property in 2004, situated in Juhu, Mumbai. The house serves primarily as the family's office space.
