Mumbai: Ajay Devgn's much-awaited movie De De Pyaar De 2, slated to release on November 14, 2025, recorded slow pre-booking sales. The film, featuring R Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, Gautami Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Meezaan Jaaferi, sold only 6,500 tickets in national chains. It is expected to sell at least 9000 tickets per night. The film's opening day sales are heavily dependent on the pre-booking sales.

Though the movie created a buzz among the audience, it has not translated to bookings yet. Sacnilk stated that the film has collected  Rs. 25.96 lakh without blocked tickets and 1.46 crore, including block tickets.

However, the quirky romantic comedy is thought to record a double-digit start due to the national holiday on the opening day. As of now, the pre-sales of the movie are significantly lower than those of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's Jolly LLB 3.

De De Pyaar De 2 is a sequel to the 2019 movie De De Pyaar De. Including paid previews, the film at the time recorded Rs. 10.41 crore.

Film Exhibitor Akshaye Rathee spoke to TV9 English and expressed his thoughts regarding the movie and said,'' I mean, uh, purely going by the trailer, I think it should be very interesting. It's not gonna be a ballistic opener like a Shaitan because that's not the genre. But having said that, it looks like a fun film, and I have a very good feeling, purely going by what the trailer looks like, that it is a film that should pick up by the day and by the show with word of mouth. So, while, like I said, the opening day may not be very big, uh, my gut is that Saturday should be much bigger than Friday, and Sunday should be much bigger than Saturday and Monday onwards it should, you know, sell and stabilise really well. So, keeping our fingers crossed, probably day one would be anywhere between a seven to a 10, and after that it should grow from strength to strength.

He further spoke about Haq and said, "Haq is a movie that is growing from strength to strength. And, uh, you know what I mean, if you look at the trajectory from Friday to Sunday, it literally, uh, almost doubled up every single day. And from Monday, I mean, this being a word-of-mouth film, I really hope it sustains at a certain level so that the next weekend and the weekend after that, while there are big ticket releases like De De Pyaar De, and then the week after that there's Masti and Ek Sowmya Ke Baar Dar, it has the potential to, on the sidelines, just continue chipping on for weeks together because the kind of word of mouth that it's generated. So keep-keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that, you know, uh, it can be that dark horse that keeps running on the side and winning its own race.

The movie revolves around the story of a businessman in his 50s, played by Ajay Devgn, falling in love with a much younger woman called Ayesha, portrayed by Rakul Preet Singh. The funny moments in the movie come through as Ayesha's father, played by R Madhavan, joins the equation. An important aspect of the movie, looked forward to by the audience, involves the hit combination of R Madhavan and Ajay Devgn. The similarities in their age in the movie pave the way for hilarious moments.
