New Delhi: Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao landed himself in a legal soup once again over his 2017 film, Behen Hogi Teri. On July 28, he surrendered himself in Jalandhar Court of Punjab in connection with the case. Now, the court granted him conditional bail, with a hearing scheduled to take place on July 30.

The case stemmed from a complaint alleging that a scene portraying Lord Shiva on a bike in the movie, Behen Hogi Teri, which hurt religious sentiments. A local Shiv Sena leader lodged a complaint stating that the depiction was offensive.

After the complaint was filed, the police registered a case against Rajkummar Rao, Film’s director Nitin Kakkar, producer Amul Vikas Mohle, and actress Shruti Haasan. Rajkummar Rao was summoned but failed to appear, which led the court to issue a non-bailable warrant against him. However, before he surrender, he received anticipatory bail.

As of now, the Stree actor has issued no official statement on the same.

Rajkummar Rao’s work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in action film, Maalik and comedy film, Bhool Chuk Maaf. He will be next seen in Toaster. He also has Sourav Ganguly’s biopic in his pipeline.

On the personal front, the actor along with his wife Patralekhaa is set to enter parenthood. The couple announced their pregnancy through a heartfelt social media post on Instagram. The post read, "Baby on the way Patralekhaa & Rajkummar." The actor was also recently spotted at the Golden Temple, Amritsar, seeking blessings.

Rajkummar Rao is known for his performances in movies, including Stree, Stree 2, Shahid, Newton, Ludo, Queen, and Bareilly Ki Barfi, among others.
