Mumbai: Farah Khan, the Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer, known for her wit and creativity, opened up about her experience as an actor and revealed that actors have affairs on film sets due to boredom.
Making an appearance on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol's chat show, Two Much, Farah talked about her first acting experience in Shirin Farhad's Ki Toh Nikal Padi in 2012. “Actually, I don’t know why I did it. I think I was sitting faaltu (useless), and then Boman (Irani) called me. Sanjay Bhansali came to my house and said, ‘I’ll be on set every day.’ It was good working with Boman," said Farah.
The talented director went on to state that she hated being an actor.
She continued, "I became one (an actor), and then I decided this is never for me. I hated it, you just have to sit and wait.” With her signature humour, she added, “I told Boman, ‘Now I know why people must be having affairs on set, it’s just out of boredom!’”
Further, Twinkle Khanna, Kajol, Ananya Panday, and Farah discussed whether it was the older people who were better at hiding affairs than the younger ones. Twinkle quipped, "Older people are much better, lots of practice." Meanwhile, Kajol stated, "Younger people are much better at hiding everything about their lives, including affairs.”
Responding to the comments, Ananya stated that everything comes on social media despite people's efforts to hide things.
Earlier, when Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor made an appearance on the show, they discussed whether physical cheating or emotional infidelity is a bigger relationship dealbreaker. While Twinkle, Kajol, and Karan said emotional infidelity was a bigger issue than physical cheating, Janhvi disagreed. The actress stated, "No, the deal is broken.”
Karan continued, "Thand lag jaati hai kabhi kabhi." However, Janhvi stated, "Nahi, nahi lagni chahiye na! Blanket lagado!”
Twinkle ignored Janhavi's comments and stated, "We’re 50! She’s in her 20s, she’ll get into this circle soon.”
