New Delhi: Vishnu Manchu and Akshay Kumar’s mythological drama, Kannappa, has made its OTT debut on September 4, 2025. However, it has released in four South Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada but the Hindi dubbed version is yet to premiere in the digital space.
The film was released in theatres on June 27, 2025 and opened to mixed reviews. The film has an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, Madhoo, and Kajal Aggarwal, among others.
Mukesh Kumar Singh’s directorial, Kannappa, has made its OTT debut. The film is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video in four languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. However, the movie is yet to release in its Hindi dubbed version. So, for the moviegoers in the North India, you have to wait a little longer for the movie to release in Hindi.
The mythological drama, Kannappa, boasts an ensemble cast including Vishnu Manchu as Kannappa, Mohanlal as Kirata, Prabhas as Rudra, Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, Mohan Babu as Mahadeva Shastri, R Sarathkumar as Nathanadhudu, Preity Mukhundhan as Nemali, Madhoo as Pannaga, Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran as Maremma, Brahmanandam as Pilaka, Kajal Aggarwal as Parvathi, Avram Manchu as Thinnadu, Brahmaji as Gavvaraju, and Devaraj as Mundadu.
It also features Raghu Babu, Siva Balaji, Raghu Kumat Karumanchi, Ariaana Manchu, Arya Manchu, Viviana Manchu, Kaushal Manda, Lavi Pajni, Sampath Ram, Arpit Ranka, Madala Ravi, Mukesh Rishi, Josita Anola Rodrigues, Sapthagiri, and Surekha Vani. The movie is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, R Vijay Kumar, and Vinay Maheshwari.
Kannappa narrates the story of Lord Shiv bhakt, Kannappa, who was an atheist tribal warrior. It shows the journey of Kannappa of becoming an ardent devotee of the Vayulinga and Lord Shiva. Thinnappan, a hunter worships Lord Shiva in unconventional ways such as offering water from his mouth and hunted meat. One day, he finds Lingam bleeding and offers his both eyes to him. Impressed by his devotion, Shiva appeared, restored his eyes and granted him divine grace.
