Agli baar Mumbai mein... Kapil Sharma’s Canada cafe targeted for second time, Bishnoi gang takes responsibility
Kapil Sharma's café in Canada was attacked for the second time in a month, with gangster Goldy Dhillon claiming responsibility. The recurring threat has raised serious concerns about the safety of the venue and the motive behind the attacks.
New Delhi: Comedian Kapil Sharma has once again found himself in the crosshairs of criminal threats. After his café in Canada was targeted for a second time within a month, shots were reportedly fired at Kap’s Cafe again on Thursday (August 8), as confirmed by a report from India Today. Though no casualties were reported, the recurrence of such an attack has raised significant concerns around the entertainer’s safety.
Responsibility for the latest attack has been claimed by gangster Goldy Dhillon, who has allegedly acted on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A provocative online post circulated on social media has been used to announce the gang’s involvement.
Who attacked Kapil Sharma’s café again?
The post read, "Kapil Sharma ke Kap's Cafe par jo firing ki gayi thi uski zimmedaari Goldy Dhillon aur Lawrence Bishnoi gang leti hai. Isko humne call ki thi, lekin isko ghanti sunayi nahi di toh wahan karwahi karni padi. Ab ghanti nahi sunegi toh agli karwahi Mumbai mein hogi (We take responsibility for the firing at Kap’s Café. He didn’t respond to our call, so action had to be taken there. If he doesn’t listen now, the next action will happen in Mumbai.)”
A source close to comedian Kapil said in a statement, "Kapil and his team were preparing for the chat show as the shooting of the episode is on Friday. Also, there is no security upgrade for Kapil Sharma and he just has a strong security presence around him.”
Take a look!
The message has not only confirmed the gang’s role in the Canada shooting but has also delivered a veiled threat, implying Mumbai could be their next target. The post's cryptic language has heightened tensions, especially as it follows another serious warning made by pro-Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun just days prior.
The Mumbai Police have taken cognisance of the matter and are currently verifying the authenticity of the threat post. Increased security measures around the comedian may be considered, depending on the outcome of the preliminary investigation.
The British Columbia-based cafe had only recently opened its doors to the public and was praised for its soft-pink decor, floral aesthetics, and boutique coffee menu.
