New Delhi: South Korean actress Lee Soo yi, popularly known for her K-drama The Divorce Insurance, passed away at 43. The news of her sudden demise was shared by her manager via her social media handle on July 1, disappointing several fans.

"This is Song Seo-bin, manager of actress Lee Seo Yi. A radiant, beautiful, lovely, and kind unnie became a star in the sky on June 20, 2025, so I leave this message here. I know many of you must be shocked and deeply saddened by the news of her passing, but I kindly ask that you pray so that she may go to a good and beautiful place,” they added. Reportedly, Lee Seo yi was died on June 20, her cause of death still unknown. For the unversed, Lee Seo yi was widely known for her role in tvN’s comedy series The Divorce Insurance. She donned a guest role as a baker in the fifth episode, which also starred Lee Dong Wook, Lee Joo Bin, Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Da Hee in pivotal roles

Additionally, she worked in the historical K-drama Hur Jun, the Original Story, Cheongdamdong Scandal, City of the Sun, Bravo My Life, Romance Special Law and Pegasus Market, appearing in support or guest roles.

According to K-media, the late South Korean actress was also a scholar who majored in Czech and Slovak studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She further pursued her higher education at Pusan National University’s graduate school.
