About Linkin Park

Linkin Park is a rock band that was formed in 1996 in California. The original lineup included artists Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Joe Hahn, and Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell. The late Chester Bennington joined as lead vocalist in 1999, giving the band its iconic dual-vocal style with Shinoda. Their debut album, ‘Hybrid Theory (2000) became one of the best-selling albums of the 2000s, featuring hits such as ‘In The End’, ‘Crawling’, and ‘One Step Closer’.

The band even popularised nu-metal, combining heavy guitar riffs with rap verses, electronic elements and emotional lyrics. Their another notable album was ‘Meteora’ (2003), which had songs such as ‘Numb’, ‘Somewhere I Belong’, ‘Breaking the Habit’. Other notable albums include ‘Minutes to Midnight’, ‘A Thousand Suns’, ‘Living Things’, and ‘One More Light’.

In 2017, their celebrated vocalist Chester Bennington tragically died by suicide. A few months back, the band introduced their co-lead singer, Emily Armstrong.
