Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra was released on August 28 and has become a blockbuster, making Rs 172.55 crore gross in India and a total of Rs 290 crore worldwide. Made for just Rs 30 crore, the film’s earnings are almost ten times its budget. Most of its earnings, Rs 115.87 crore, came from the Malayalam version. The Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions added more to this success.

Even after more than a month, the movie is still doing well in theatres, entering its fifth week and earning Rs 1 crore on Monday, September 29. Many fans are watching it again and again.

There were reports online that the film will be released on OTT on October 23, some even saying Netflix has the streaming rights. However, Dulquer Salmaan made it clear on September 21, “Lokah isn’t coming to OTT anytime soon. Ignore the fake news and stay tuned for official announcements!”

His post has received a huge response, with over 8 lakh views on X (Twitter). Fans reacted positively, saying, “No hurry,” “Thank you, DQ. Many people are rewatching the movie in theatres. It has so much repeat value. Let it run till October-end or something. Think about OTT by November only.”

Another fan shared, “Good decision. A huge number of people are willing to re-watch the movie. They wanted to get enough time. The theatrical experience is the best.”
