New Delhi: Ashwin Kumar’s Mahavatar Narsimha is going strong at the Indian box office. The mythological animated action drama is being loved by the audience and witnessed 400 per cent jump in its collection over the opening weekend. The film is expected to perform even better on its first Monday. The film’s storyline is deeply rooted in the legend of Lord Vishnu’s avatar, Narsimha, and has connected well with the family audiences.

Animated film, Mahavatar Narsimha, collected Rs 1.75 crore across all languages on its opening day, followed by Rs 4.6 crore on its second day, Rs 9.5 crore on its third day, taking the total collection to Rs 11.35 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

According to multiple reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 4 crore and has already collected over Rs 11 crore at the ticket window, making it a hit.

Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Hombale Films, the film has been released in theatres in five Indian languages, including Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. Upcoming titles in cinematic universe are Mahavatar Parshuram (2027), Mahavatar Raghunandan (2029), Mahavatar Dhawkadhesh (2031), Mahavatar Gokulananda (2033), and Mahavatar Kalki (2035–2037).

The makers have revealed that due to the demand, the shows of the film has been increased from 800 on Friday to 1,100 on Saturday and 2,000 on Sunday.
