New Delhi: In a shocking incident reported from Mumbai, 4 rounds of firing were heard outside Bollywood Director Rohit Shetty's home in Juhu. Reports said that an unknown person fired at the house, from outside and then escaped.
Following the firing, the police have launched a high-level probe in the matter. Officials said that it was not yet known why the person fired at the home of the filmmaker. They also did not have any clue about who was the person involved in the shooting.
Sources said that the filmmaker and other people in the house were safe. Shetty was last seen in public, attending the Republic Day event of the Mumbai Police.
On the work front, Rohit Shetty is just wrapping up the Rakesh Maria biopic. The film is nearing completion, after which he is expected to start working on Ajay Devgan starrer Golmaal, which will go on the floors in February.
A police team, accompanied by forensic experts were seen inspecting the house and surrounding areas, following the firing. Police have also beefed up security outside his house.
