New Delhi: After teasing with melodious songs, the teaser of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Param Sundari has finally released. In the redefined era of rom-com, the film looks promising with a good storyline and comic punches. In the movie, Sidharth Malhotra plays Dilli ka munda, who visits Kerala and meets South ki ladki, Janhvi Kapoor. Soon sparks flew between them and they fall in love but cross-culture creates trouble in their relationship.
The trailer begins with Param and Sundari romancing inside a church. The clip shows how they meet and fall in love but later, she accuses him of playing with her emotions. She also calls him ‘arrogant, entitled and prejudiced North Indians’. She also gives a crash course on South Indian celebs by saying that Rajinikanth is from Tamil Nadu, Mohanlal from Kerala, Allu Arjun in Andhra and Yash from Karnataka.
Set against the backdrop of Kerala, the film features monsoon-drenched roads, backwater bike rides, and the architectural beauty of centuries-old churches. Directed by Tushar Jalota, the movie’s music is by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics penned by Amitabh Battacharya. The songs ‘Pardesiya’ and ‘Bheegi Saree’ has already being loved by the fans and are trending big on social media. The film is scheduled to release on August 29.
Sidharth Malhotra said in a statement, "With Param Sundari, I feel like I’m revisiting the kind of romance I grew up loving, but telling it in a way that feels fresh and relatable. Param has that Delhi boy charm, with a love story that makes you cross worlds. We wanted it to look as beautiful as it feels, and Kerala’s magic really made that happen. I hope the audience feels the same warmth and joy we felt while making it.”
On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor shared in a statement, "Sundari is deeply personal to me. Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by such beauty, I felt an emotional connection to her world that I hope the audience will feel too.”
