New Delhi: Actor Ravie Dubey dropped a behind-the-scenes glimpse into one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects today (July 18). He shared a heartfelt moment from the set of Ramayana: Part 1 alongside on-screen Ram - Ranbir Kapoor and director Nitesh Tiwari.

The image was posted on his official Instagram handle and offered fans a rare peek into the mythological epic currently in production.

The post followed the completion of filming for the first part of the two-part saga. Ravie, who will be seen portraying Lakshman, expressed his gratitude in a caption that read, “Patience is rich, great talent, world is victory, Ram || in the company of legends @niteshtiwari22 sir #ranbirkapoor brother.”

Ravie’s casting as Lakshman has already stirred anticipation, with audiences eager to witness his transformation into one of mythology’s most revered figures. Known for his versatility across TV and OTT, the actor’s inclusion in the ensemble has only heightened excitement around the project.

Directed by Dangal and Chhichhore fame Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being mounted as a grand visual spectacle. Ranbir will be seen essaying the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi takes on the part of Sita. Kannada superstar Yash is slated to portray the menacing Raavan, and Sunny Deol has been cast as the mighty Hanuman. The casting choices have generated widespread curiosity and buzz online.

The epic is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with Monster Mind Creations and DNEG, the visual effects powerhouse known for its eight Academy Awards. It is being crafted as a global cinematic event, with Ramayana: Part 1 slated for an IMAX release around Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
