New Delhi: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-starrer, Saiyaara, has set the registers ringing at the box office. The Mohit Suri’s directorial has earned its highest on its first Sunday and as per the reports, its first Monday is also going strong with good occupancy during the morning shows.
The musical romantic drama opened in theatres with whooping Rs 21 crore at the theatres, creating a wave at the box office. The film is produced by Yash Raj Films. Dig inside to explore complete box office breakdown.

The Mohit Suri’s directorial, Saiyaara, has earned Rs 37 crore on its first Sunday, according to early estimates on the industry tracker Sacnilk. The film minted Rs 25 crore on its second day, taking the total to Rs 83 crore. The film has break record of Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh’s opening weekend, which earned Rs 71 crore in 2019.
Meanwhile, the film has an overall 71.18 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday with multiple shows going housefull across major cities. The film is set to cross the Rs 100-crore soon at the ticket window.

Mohit Suri’s film Saiyaara was released on July 18 and had a massive opening at the box office. The film revolves around a young couple, who falls in love and navigate complexities in their relationship. The film also features Anngad Raaj and Sid Makkar, along with Ahaan and Aneet. While film marks the acting debut of Chunky Panday’s nephew Ahaan in Bollywood, Aneet is known for her performances in films, including Salaam Venky and Big Girls Don't Cry.
The director, in an exclusive conversation with TV9 digital, revealed that Ahaan Panday wasn’t cast via auditions. Recalling the same, he shared, " I took him out to dinner, planning to say no. Told him to stop calling me sir, call me Mohit. He started with ‘bro bro bro’ (laughs). I was supposed to be home by 11:30. I ended up out with him till 3 AM. And suddenly, I saw this brash, angsty, wild side of him. That’s when I knew—he was my character.”
