New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan found herself embroiled in a legal trouble after the Archies star allegedly purchased an agricultural land in Alibaug. The land, which was allotted under a strict ‘no sale’ clause was allegedly sold to Suhana. According to a report by Business Line, the land in Thal, Alibaug, was allotted to the Khote family for cultivation by the government in 1968.
The land was allotted with several conditions, including that it cannot be transferred, sell or mortgage without prior approval from District Collector. However, the land was sold to Suhana Khan for Rs 12.91 crore by Anjali, Rekha, and Priya Khote without Collector’s approval.
Local advocate Vivekanand Thakur told Business Line, “The land was not allowed to be sold. This is a clear breach of legal conditions, and all those involved in the transaction must face action." According to reports, Suhana paid Rs 77.46 lakh while registering the deal and in the registered documents, she has been shown as a farmer. It was also registered in the name of Déjà vu Farm Private Limited, which is owned by Gauri Khan’s mother and sister-in-law.
The authorities are currently investigating the matter and have asked for an unbiased report from the Alibaug Tehsildar. Meanwhile, Resident Deputy Collector Sandesh has given his orders.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Suhana Khan made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s directorial, The Archies, which was released on Netflix. The movie also starred Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, and Vedang Raina, among others. She will be next seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie King, according to reports. The film reportedly also features Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma.
