Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal wedding: Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana’s wedding celebrations have been thrown into unexpected turmoil, with a chain of developments that has now sparked widespread speculation online. Smriti Mandhana’s father hospitalised: The couple’s wedding was scheduled for November 23 in Maharashtra. However, it was put on indefinite hold after Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a severe health scare. He was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital with heart-related symptoms, and his condition prompted an immediate halt to the ceremony. Her manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed, “Smriti is very close to her father. She decided that until her father gets well, this marriage, which was supposed to happen today (Sunday), is indefinitely postponed.”
Palash Muchhal hospitalised: However, the situation grew more complicated within hours. Palash Muchhal was also hospitalised on the same day after reportedly experiencing a viral infection and stress-induced acidity. His mother later revealed that Palash was deeply shaken by Smriti’s father’s condition, saying he “cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated.” He was stabilised in Sangli and then shifted to Mumbai for rest.
Smriti Mandhana deletes all photos: As fans continued sending recovery wishes to the families, a surprising shift occurred on social media. Smriti deleted all pre-wedding posts, including her viral proposal video. Soon after, her close friends and India teammates, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav, removed their engagement-related posts. Radha even unfollowed Palash, which quickly intensified online chatter about tension between the couple.
This fuelled a second wave of speculation, with users questioning whether the postponement was purely health-related. Rumours escalated after earlier unverified screenshots alleging Palash’s inappropriate conversations circulated on social platforms. Though no credible source has confirmed the authenticity of these chats, the timing led to renewed debates.
Palak Muchhal reacts: In the middle of growing curiosity, Palash’s sister Palak Muchhal issued a clarification on Instagram, stating, “Due to Smriti’s father’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. We request you all to respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time.”
As of now, neither Smriti nor Palash has issued an official statement about the future of their wedding. With emotions running high and social-media speculation still rising, the couple remains under intense public scrutiny while they prioritise family health and privacy.
