Actress Soundarya husband: Veteran Telugu actor Suresh, has spoken about late actress Soundarya, sharing personal memories from their time in the industry. The remarks were made during a recent interview. Soundarya, who died at the height of her career, was remembered as an exceptional individual. It was said that her behaviour never changed despite fame, success or higher remuneration. From her debut film Ammoru to her final appearance in Devi Putrudu, her conduct was described as calm, respectful and consistent.
He added that everyone on set was greeted by her with warmth, much like a close friend or family member. Her off-screen presence was marked by a radiant smile and her expressive eyes. That same love for living was believed to shine through in her performances, which always felt natural and alive.
Soundarya’s untimely death was described as deeply shattering. It was revealed that only on two occasions had Suresh been moved to tears in his life, and her passing was one of them. Even personal losses within his family had not affected him in the same way. The deaths of Soundarya and actor Srihari were both described as unbearably unjust and premature.
Her cinematic journey was recalled in detail. Ammoru marked her first film after she was selected from Bengaluru by producer Shyam Prasad Reddy. At the time, she was believed to be only 16 or 17 years old. During the shoot, she was said to approach Suresh before every shot, asking politely if her dialogue delivery was correct, often reminding him that he was her senior. Though Ammoru was her debut, the film’s re-release later saw her return as a full-fledged star.
Suresh also shared an important update about Soundarya’s husband, Raghu. He revealed that he still keeps in touch with Suresh, who now has two daughters, and they were described as a living reflection of Soundarya herself, as if she had returned to the world through them.
Over the years, the two actors shared the screen several times. Suresh acted opposite her as a hero, played a villain in Dongaata, and later appeared alongside Venkatesh under Kodi Ramakrishna’s direction in Devi Putrudu. Despite the passage of time and her growing stature, no shift in her behaviour was ever observed.
