The Bengal Files trailer launch faces ruckus
The movie Bengal Files, which is all set to release on September 5, has planned to release its trailer on August 15. But then the venue owners withdrew the permission to launch the trailer at the last moment. The director Vivek Agnihotri and his wife Pallavi Joshi said that due to the interference of the state government, the trailer launch, which was planned earlier to be released on a specific date, could'nt get released.
Pallavi Joshi said, "I absolutely did not like the way my film was stopped. Is there freedom of expression in this state? As filmmakers and actors, we are not able to screen what we have made. What is the threat they are feeling? Such a thing did not happen even in Kashmir. Can we derive that the situation in Kashmir is better than in Bengal? See what is happening in Bengal today. And this is why films like 'The Bengal Files' are important. I want every person in India to watch this film to know the truth about Bengal. It is the state's responsibility to give respect to artists."
About the movie

A video is going viral all over the internet, where the entire team is coming out of the theatres due to the cancellation of the trailer launch event.
