Mumbai: The workers union alleged producer of Vikram Bhatt's film, Dr Ajay Murdia, of not paying the crew. Ashok Dubey, general secretary of FWICE, in an interview, revealed that Rs 2.46 crores were pending. He stated that a complaint has been filed.

"Mehboob Ansari, who was the production head, complained about the entire unit to us. And the individual workers have also signed and sent a letter to us. We sent a letter to Mr Ajay Murdia in August," said Dubey. He added that the letter warned Dr Murdia of repercussions.

Dr Murdia responded to the workers body and asked them to forward evidence. Dubey stated that the union informed the producer that they would hold a joint meeting on August 18th and hand over all the evidence and documentation to him.

He lashed out at Dr Murdia and said, "You don't even want to do a joint meeting. You don't even want to come. And if you file a complaint on the federation, then how will it work? Workers and technicians will go."

"Someone has 8,000 left. Someone has 15,000 left. Someone has 70,000 left. Someone has 16,000 left. Everyone has little money left. So who will give?" said Dubey. He also added that Dr Murdia and Bhatt should resolve their issues among themselves.

Further, Dubey claimed that a lot of producers owed technicians money.

"Some of them don't want to give money even after working. We have also written a letter to the Prime Minister on 21st October. That a system should be brought," said Dubey. He added, "We wrote a letter to the Prime Minister on 21st October. Wrote to the SP Investors. Wrote to the Labour Minister. This number is increasing now. People don't want to give money even after working," said the general secretary.
