New Delhi: Several Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and others who an Indian Premiere League (IPL) team. However, Salman Khan doesn’t own any cricket team despite having an offer. Yes, you read it right! The superstar actually had an offer in hand to own an IPL team but he refused the offer.
Now, the actor broke silence on the same and said that he has no regrets about rejecting the offer. Let’s dive into further details!
At an event in Mumbai, Salman Khan was asked whether he has any interest in buying an IPL team in the future. He responded by saying, “IPL ke liye too old ho gaye hum (now I am too old for IPL). IPL offer hua tha us waqt, liya nahi…(I was offered IPL but I didn't accept it).”
He further added, “Aisa nahi hai ki pachta rahe hai hum. Khush hi hai hum (It's not like I am regretting now. I am happy with my decision).”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla co-own Kolkata Knight Riders while Preity Zinta is the owner of Punjab Kings.
On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, which tanked at the box office. The actor will be next seen in the Battle of Galwan, which is based on the 2020 India-China Galwan Valley conflict. He will also be hosting the upcoming season of Bigg Boss 19.
Talking about his upcoming movie, Battle of Galwan, Salman earlier said, “It is physically demanding. Every year, every month, every day it gets more and more difficult. I've to give more time now (for training). Earlier, I would do it (train) in one or two weeks, now I'm running, kicking, punching, and all that stuff. This film demands that. For instance, in Sikandar the action was different, the character was different. But this is physically difficult. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, in high altitude and in cold water (is another challenge).”
