Erika Eiffel is an objectophile, which means she feels love and romance for inanimate things. In 2007, she decided to symbolically marry the Eiffel Tower. The marriage was held in a private ceremony where she committed to the monument. Despite the lack of legal recognition, Erika saw the marriage as an expression of her deep love for the monument.
She even changed her last name from LaBrie to Eiffel.
