Amit Shah on Operation Sindoor: No Damage to Indian Installations
Following a Pakistan attack on May 8th, resulted in casualties, India retaliated on May 9th. Amit Shah, in a Lok Sabha address, clarified that despite the Pakistani attack, no Indian military installations were damaged. The Indian response resulted in the destruction of eleven Pakistani airbases.

On May 8th, Pakistan launched an attack on Indian residential areas and army posts. While a Gurdwara and a temple were destroyed, and civilians were killed due to close-range shelling, no Indian military installations sustained damage, according to Amit Shah's statement in the Lok Sabha.
In response to this attack, the Indian army, following orders from Prime Minister Modi, launched retaliatory strikes on May 9th. Eleven Pakistani airbases were targeted, including Nur Khan, Chak Lala, Murid, Sagudar, Rafiki, Rahim Yar Khan, Jacobabad, Sukkur, and Bholari.
Additionally, two surface-to-air guided weapon bases in Lahore and Okara were destroyed. Shah emphasised the precision of the strikes, highlighting that Pakistan's air defence system remained unaffected throughout the operation.
