AP: Home guard fired over obscene viral dance video

Vijayawada: Home guard at Kankipadu police station in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, identified as Ajay Kumar, has been fired over a video in which he was seen dancing in an inappropriate manner with another woman in front of school children.

Krishna district SP Vidyasagar Naidu expressed anger about the incident and dismissed Ajay Kumar from duty after the video went viral on social media.

The SP lashed out at the police for tarnishing the reputation of the police department and directed the local police officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the home guard dance and submit a thorough report. He warned that the behaviour of the police personnel should enhance the reputation of the police department, and whoever acts to bring it into disrepute will face departmental action.
