Devotees throng to temples for Vaikuntha Ekadashi across Telugu states

Hyderabad: Vaikuntha Ekadashi is being celebrated with religious fervour across Telugu states as devotees flocked to temples since the early hours of Tuesday to offer prayers to Lord Vishnu.

At Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala Tirupati, Uttara Dwaram (North Gate) opened in the early hours of the morning while Vaikuntha Dwaram also opened at 12.15 AM on Tuesday.

Vijayawada Kanaka Durga temple and the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple are also witnessing a massive influx of devotees.

The Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam ceremony had commenced at the Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam. A large number of devotees have flocked to witness the darshan through the northern gate. Lord Ram gave darshan on the Garuda vahana, Goddess Sita on the Gaja vahana, and Lakshmana Swamy on the Hanumantha vahana.

Similarly, the Uttaradwara Darshanam (viewing through the northern gate) began at Simhachalam pilgrimage site in Visakhapatnam district.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his family members were among the first VIPs to have Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam at Tirumala Tirupati.

 Also among those who had the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam were film actor Nara Rohit and his wife, State Minister Payyavula Keshav, film producer DVV Danayya, actor Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha and daughters Sushmita and Sreeja, State High Court Judge Justice Srinivasulu Reddy, Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, ministers and MLAs of both states, Bharat Biotech MD Krishna Ella, and Managing Director Sucharitha Ella, among others.
