Parul's family has filed a police complaint

Parul's brother has lodged a complaint naming six accused: her husband Devendra, his mother, and four male relatives identified a Gajesh, Sonu, Santosh, and Jitendra. A case has been registered against them, and the police have charged them with domestic violence and attempted murder.
She married Devendra around 13 years ago, and the couple has twin children, a boy and a girl. Devendra is a constable in the Uttar Pradesh Police and had recently been transferred from Rampur to Bareilly. He was at home on leave when, according to police, he and his relatives allegedly attempted to burn Parul alive after demands for dowry were not met.
Her husband, Devendra, is a constable in the Uttar Pradesh Police. Recently, he went home on leave, and he, along with his relatives, allegedly tried to burn Parul alive after she failed to meet their dowry demands. The police said, "All six accused are currently missing. A search operation is underway."

'My daughter was writhing in pain'

Anita, Parul's mother, said the neighbours alerted her early on Tuesday. She said, "When I reached the spot, my daughter was writhing in pain, badly burnt. She was taken to the nearest hospital but had to be referred to Delhi due to her condition. She is fighting for her life."
