New Delhi: Gujarat's Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested 4 terrorists affiliated to Al-Qaeda and who were part of a major terror module in the Indian subcontinent. Following the arrest of 4 terrorists on Wednesday, the Gujarat ATS has made some shocking revelations. They said that this module was active during Operation Sindoor and the terrorists were in touch with the Pakistan spy agency, the ISI and also the neighbouring country's army.
According to investigations carried out by the Anti-Trrorism Squad, Gujarat wing, the terror module was trying to radicalise a particular community in India. They were using social media to try and push people/Indians to stand with Pakistan against Operation Sindoor.
They were creating a favourable atmosphere on social media for Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos of Pakistani Army, which was a planned operation by that country against India, after Operation Sindoor, said sources. During Operation Sindoor, these arrested terrorists had contacted Pakistan ISI Officials and also the Pakistan Army personnel several times.
These individuals were continuously giving secret information, through 2 Pakistan-based social media channels. It was through these 2 social media handles that they were getting instructions from their handlers, based in the neighbouring country. According to reports these individuals used videos of Osama Bin Laden and Maulana Asim Umar, on social media to brainwash the individuals, said officials. They used to share jihadi videos on social media to mislead the youth.
The leader of the module is Mohammad Faiz. He used to work as a manager at a fast food chain in Delhi. He is a well educated man, who made a group with the other 4 terrorists and created this module.
It was Faiz who made various accounts on social media platforms and carried out the conspiracy against Operation Sindoor. He was reportedly brainwashing individuals through social media and also educating them about jihad, said sources, quoting ATS officials. Zeeshan Ali, the terrorist caught from Noida, used to work in a mobile shop in Noida and the other two were tailors in Gujarat.
