'Pinnacle of hard work': Birthday wishes pour in as PM Narendra Modi turns 75

New Delhi: Birthday wishes poured in from leaders cutting across the party lines as Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 on Wednesday. From President and Vice President to leaders from the BJP and those from Opposition parties, several prominent personalities extended birthday greeting to the Prime Minister.

President Droupadi Murmu praised the Prime Minister for his "extraordinary leadership", and said the global community is also expressing its faith in his leadership.

"Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodi ji. By exemplifying the pinnacle of hard work through your extraordinary leadership, you have instilled a culture of achieving great goals in the country. Today, the global community is also expressing its faith in your leadership. I pray to God that you remain forever healthy and joyful, and with your unique leadership, lead the nation to new heights of progress," Murmu said on X.

The Prime Minister responded to her post and said that with the affection and cooperation of 140 crore citizens", India will always remain dedicated to building a "strong, capable, and self-reliant" country. 

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan also wished PM Modi and said that India is making a mark on the global stage and moving steadily towards the goal of a developed nation under his leadership. "Wishing you a long, healthy, and fulfilling life dedicated to the service of the motherland," he wrote on X.


Extending heartfelt wishes to PM Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda called him the world’s most popular leader and the architect of a new India. Nadda heaped praises on the Prime Minister saying he has taken several "transformative steps" toward the upliftment of all sections of society and realising the goal of a self-reliant and developed India.

"Under your visionary leadership, our nation’s spiritual and cultural heritage has gained global recognition. Your able guidance is a source of inspiration for all of us, countless BJP workers," he said in a post in Hindi.

Opposition leaders wish PM Modi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also wished the Prime Minister. "Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji a happy birthday and good health," he posted on X.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar also extended warm greetings to PM Modi and wrote on X, "May you be blessed with good health, happiness, and a long life. I wish for the continued progress of our nation under your able guidance and look forward to its greater wellbeing and development in the years ahead."
