Upon receiving the information, our rapid response team from Bhagalpur came here, and the carcasses were buried in the ground. The area was sanitised. Sanitisation was done later once again. Still, the carcass was sent to Patna from where it was sent to Kolkata. We received confirmation of bird flu from the Government of India...After confirmation, our rapid response team became active once again. Our team from Patna will come once again tomorrow, if any bird is found dead, they will be disposed off and sanitisation will be done. Infected zones will be fully sanitised. Serosurveillance of poultry farms will be done. There is no need to panic; a serosurveillance was done recently as well but there was no positive case. Crows are wild birds, so maybe they carried an infection..."
