As the video moves on, the men can be heard saying that the sale of Christmas items was not allowed and they must show the permission for selling such items. They further added that the vendors must instead sell the items related to Lord Jagannath, since it was Odisha.

When vendors told them that they were Hindus but were selling Christmas items to earn some money as they were poor, the group said, "Here, only Lord Jagannath can rule. Being Hindus, how can you do this? Wrap up quickly and go away from here. If you have to sell anything, sell Lord Jagannath's items."

When some of the sellers told them that they were from Rajasthan, the group further said that they did not have any problems with them selling their items in Odisha, as long as they do not sell Christmas items.

Video attracts anger among social media users

The video has led to anger among social media users. One of them wrote, "When you expect foreigners to celebrate Hindu festivals, then why can't you allow your own people to celebrate their festivals? Whatever caste or religion that boy belongs to, he is not selling those things to show off his money like you, but to feed himself and his family." "If he is that sure of his position, he should go to shopping malls and retail stores, and try to stop them from selling X'Mas paraphernalia," added another.
