CM Nitish Kumar gives key home portfolio to BJP: Full list of Bihar ministers

Breaking from past precedent, Nitish Kumar has ceded the powerful Home Department to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. The BJP leader, who clinched the Tarapur seat with 1,22,480 votes against RJD's Arun Shah, now takes charge of one of the state's most sensitive ministries. The portfolio announcement follows a grand swearing-in ceremony at Patna's Gandhi Maidan, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior NDA leaders and chief ministers from several alliance-ruled states.
