'Dharmendra continuously monitored at hospital': Hema Malini gives updates on veteran actor's health

New Delhi: Amid concerns over the health of veteran actor Dharmendra, his wife and famous actress Hema Malini has shared a health update, telling fans that he is being continuously monitored at the hospital.

She wrote on X, "I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji, who is in the hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery."

On Monday, Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, and several reports claimed that the 89-year-old actor was on a ventilator. However, his team has confirmed that his condition is stable and the actor's recovery is progressing well.

Dharmendra has been in and out of the hospital since October 31. His family has stated that he is recuperating and is not on ventilator support. His fans can breathe a sigh of relief at the news.

Born Dharmendra Singh Deol in 1935 in Punjab, he became one of India's biggest superstars during the 1960s and 1970s. His films cover several genres like romance, comedy, drama, and action cinema, including Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, Phool Aur Patthar, Anupama, and Seeta Aur Geeta. His on-screen pairing with Hema Malini remains one of the most iconic collaborations in Hindi cinema. The actor is known not only for his screen presence but also for his warmth and humility. Even though he earned the title “He-Man” of Bollywood, friends and colleagues often describe him as gentle and soft-spoken off-screen.
