New Delhi: In a major dip in receiving H-1B visas, the top seven IT firms in India received only 4,573 visa approvals for initial employment in 2025. This means that while the same declined to 70 percent since 2015, it was 27 percent less as compared to 2024, as per the National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP).

The USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub shows that only Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is the top IT company among top five firms to receive approvals for the visa working in the US. It is also the only IT company in India among top five to continue employment approvals, even as the rejection rate of extension surged to 7 percent as compared to 4 percent last year, ‘The Times of India’ reported.
