Hemant Sharma, Whole Time Director of TV9 Network, honoured with One World, One Family - Voice of the People Award
Puttaparthi Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, a follower of Sathya Sai Baba, honoured Whole Time Director of TV9 Network, Hemant Sharma, for TV9's positive contribution to the society.
Hemant Sharma, the Whole Time Director and News Director of TV9 Network, has been conferred with the "One World, One Family Voice of the People Award." The honor was given in recognition for TV9 Network's social concerns and its contribution to society.
Puttaparthi Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, a follower of Sathya Sai Baba, honoured Hemant Sharma in the Media and Journalism category for his social work. The felicitation ceremony took place at the 'One World, One Family World Cultural Festival' organised at Satya Sai Gram in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka.
In his speech during the occasion, Whole Time Director and News Director of TV9 Network, Hemant Sharma, said, "Rising above all boundaries, going beyond all limits, to value service, happiness, equality, to respect and uphold them is the objective of your mission. I congratulate you."

'I saw a hospital where there was no billing counter'
He said, "For the first time in my life, I've seen a hospital that doesn't have a billing counter, but a help desk. I've been told the same situation exists with education and nutrition. I don't remember anywhere else in the world, across the globe, where 1 crore children are nourished in a single day. I salute Madhusudan Sai ji for this work."
Hemant Sharma also said, "Your mission going with the commitment of One World, One Family. My best wishes for you. I once again pay my respect you and express my gratitude for the honour you bestowed upon me.... for which I previously stated that I do not deserve it. Therefore, I dedicate this honour to you. Just as the priest in the Yagya says - 'Indam Indray Namah', this is Indra's, not mine, in the same way my mind says says, 'Indam Madhusudnaya Namah'."
Madhusudan Sai praises TV9
On the occasion, Madhusudan Sai praised TV9's positive reporting. He said TV9's positive reporting helps patients who come for free treatment. Renowned authors Ruskin Bond, Dr Vikram Sampath, and Amish Tripathi were also honoured with the One World, One Family Voice of the People Award. Renowned voice-over artist Harish Bhimani received the honour in the Literary and Advocacy Impact category.
