In Pics: Monsoon rain brings respite for Delhiites
A day after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) declared monsoon in the national capital, people in the city woke up to wet weather. The city's observatory base at Safdarjung recorded 14 mm rainfall in the 24 hours until 8.30 am on Monday. Palam and Lodi Road recorded 16.2 mm and 17.3 mm of rainfall, respectively. The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for several parts of Delhi.
