Maharashtra: 10-year-old boy dies of heart attack after playing with friends in Kolhapur
In a saddening incident, a 10-year-old boy died of a heart attack in Maharashtra's Kolhapur. The incident took place during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at his neighbourhood.
New Delhi: A 10-year-old boy from Maharashtra's Kolhapur dies of a heart attack while playing. The deceased was identified as Shravan Gavade and hailed from the village of Kodoli.
Reports say that the incident took place when the minor was playing with his friends at the Ganesh Pandal. All of a sudden, he started feeling uneasy and decided to return to his house. He then lay in his mother's lap for a while. Subsequently, Shravan suffered a heart attack and died at his house.

In a similar incident, a 45-year-old Maratha quota protester suffered a heart attack and fell unconscious at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on August 31. The saddening incident took place during the Maratha quota protest spearheaded by Manoj Jarange. The patient was then administered a quick CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) by a radiation oncologist. Fortunately, he regained consciousness and responded to the treatment immediately.
Last month, a protester, identified as Vijaykumar Chandrakant Ghogare, who hailed from Takalgaon in Latur district, died of chest pain in Mumbai.
Organisers in Azad Maidan had set up a camp of experienced doctors, news agency PTI reported.
A few days ago, a 39-year-old cardiac surgeon died of a heart attack at a hospital in Chennai. The deceased was identified as Dr Gradlin Roy. The incident took place in the hospital, wherein the doctor collapsed on the ground while he was on a round. His colleagues at Saveetha Medical Hospital in Chennai tried hard to save him, but Dr Roy could not be revived.
