‘I know my limits’: Shivakumar once again rejects reports of differences with Karnataka CM
Even as there have been reports of differences between the two senior leaders of the Congress in Karnataka, the party is trying hard to show that there were no differences between of them.
Bengaluru: A day after the breakfast meeting with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and a subsequent press conference with the latter, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday said that there is no difference between the two leaders.
Speaking to reporters amid reports of differences with Siddaramaiah, the Deputy Chief Minister once again said he was aware of his limits and moth leaders had met to discuss next Assembly elections on Saturday morning.
No difference between CM and me: DK Shivakumar
"There is no difference between me and the CM. Being the party president, I know my limits. Nowhere have I made any comments or expressed a difference of opinion with the CM. We are all working together. There are a lot of aspirations of the people of Karnataka, and we are committed to working for them. Our aim is 2028 and 2029, and we are working for it. The CM and I will work out a strategy. We want to call an all-party meeting on various issues," news agency ANI quoted Shivakumar as saying.
Even as there have been reports of differences between the two senior leaders of the Congress in Karnataka, the party is trying hard to show that there were no differences between of them. Both leaders also held a breakfast meeting on Saturday, followed by a press conference.
‘We will obey the high command’
Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah had said, "Whatever the high command tells, we will obey. We are together, and there are no differences between us. We have worked out a strategy on how to face the BJP and the JDS in the Assembly as they are bringing a No-Confidence motion."
Seconding his view, Shivakumar added, "As far as the leadership issue is concerned, it is for the party high command to decide. Whatever they say, we will follow. We are loyal soldiers of the party. The party is going through a difficult phase in the country, but we are confident that in Karnataka, we will repeat our victory in 2028 and move ahead under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi."
