The Vande Bharat trains have fully air-conditioned coaches with CCTV cameras, electric outlets, bio-vacuum toilets, reading lights, sensor-based water taps, automatic doors, and a passenger information system. The coaches have wider windows and overhead racks for luggage, and there are options of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.

The Patna-Gomti Nagar (Lucknow) Vande Bharat Express is the 51st Vande Bharat Express train of India. It connects Patna, the capital of Bihar, with Lucknow, the capital and largest city in Uttar Pradesh. On March 12, 2024, this express train was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing from Ahmedabad. Indian Railways operates this train, and the stations are Patna Junction, Buxar, Ara Junction, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Varanasi Junction, Ayodhya Dham Junction and Gomti Nagar (Lucknow).

The Patna-Gomti Nagar (Lucknow) Vande Bharat Express is the 49th Second Generation and 34th Mini Vande Bharat 2.0 Express train. The Integral Coach Factory at Chennai manufactured it under the Make in India initiative. Earlier, the train had orange rakes, but they were later swapped with the blue liveried rakes of Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express.

The Patna-Gomti Nagar (Lucknow) Vande Bharat Express operates six days a week except on Friday. It leaves Patna at 6:05 am and reaches Gomti Nagar in Lucknow at 2:35 pm. During the return journey, the train leaves Gomti Nagar at 3:20 pm and arrives in Patna at 11:45 pm.

The Vande Bharat Express train covers a total distance of 544 kilometres in 8 hours and 30 minutes. The average speed of the Vande Bharat Express train is 64 kmph.
