Make in India drove Operation Sindoor success, Pakistan bowed in hours: PM Modi
The success of Operation Sindoor was connected to the advanced technology and the make in India initiative. The youth played an extraordinary role in the achievement.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attributed the Make in India initiative, highlighting the strength of the Indian defence system, in an event in Karnataka's Bengaluru. Addressing Bengaluru and Karnataka's youth at the "Next-Gen -mobility for a Next-Gen-City" programme, he credited them for enhancing India's defence strength.
PM Narendra Modi had earlier flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains, expanding India’s high-speed rail network to 150 trains, and inaugurated the long-awaited Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro.
Bold, resolute New India
PM Modi added that it is the first time, he is visiting Bengaluru after the success of Operation Sindoor, representing the bold and resolute New India. The armed forces crossed borders, executing impactful strikes forcing Pakistan to bow down before India and call off the war. The success was connected to the advanced technology and the Make in India initiative. The youth played an extraordinary role in the achievement.
He further noted that Bengaluru is slowly emerging as a true symbol of New India's rise, playing a significant role in placing India on the global IT map. The city's success is for the "exceptional talent and ingenuity of its people."
PM Modi also underlined that India is the fastest growing economy in the world pointing out the Indian economy had risen from the 10th position to five. He further highlighted the government’s infrastructure milestones, metro coverage expanding from five cities in 2014 to over 1,000 km across 24 cities, rail electrification doubling in the past 11 years, and operational airports increasing from 74 to over 160.
'Digital revolution must benefit all'
Modi then claimed the expansion of national waterways and the rise of digital payments, with India now accounting for more than 50% of global real-time transactions via UPI. PM said technology is bridging the gap between the government and citizens. "Our effort is to ensure the benefits of the digital revolution reach every person in society. Bengaluru is actively working towards this goal,” he added. Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw were also present at the event.
