New Delhi: Around five days ago, a retired Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel was murdered in Uttar Pradesh. Now, the police have claimed to have cracked the mystery, with the man's sons allegedly orchestrating the murder by hiring contract killers.
The person killed was 58-year-old Yogesh, who was a retired IAF personnel. Hailing from the Baghpat district, Yogesh was shot dead by two assailants on December 26. They shot him from a bike while he was coming back to his home in Ashok Vihar Colony in the Loni area.
According to the police, Yogesh's son allegedly planned his murder over his property after he tried to get them to vacate his house. The sons allegedly hired a neighbour to carry out the job, and that person joined hands with his brother-in-law, a constable, to murder Yogesh. The police have claimed that the neighbour confessed to the crime during interrogation.
The police have arrested the neighbour, and the chief judicial magistrate's court in Ghaziabad remanded him to 14 days' judicial custody. The police have recovered a .315 bore country-made pistol, and some cartridges from his possession. They are searching for the two sons and the constable.
Meanwhile, in a high-profile murder, one of the main accused in the Osman Hadi case in Bangladesh, Faisal Karim Masud, has denied any role in the murder of a student leader. He shared a video message on social media, Masud claimed he was in Dubai and that the murder was carried out by Jamaat-Shibir.
