A suspicious bag found outside Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane's government bungalow has triggered a security alert, prompting an investigation to determine whether the incident is linked to recent threats and his pro-Hindutva statements.
New Delhi: A suspicious bag was found outside the government bungalow of Maharashtra BJP leader and minister Nitesh Rane, known as Suvarnagad, triggering security concerns on Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, an unidentified person allegedly left the bag outside the bungalow before fleeing the spot. Following the alert, security and investigative agencies rushed to the location and launched a search operation to trace the individual involved.
Authorities are also conducting a detailed probe to ascertain the contents of the bag. Security around the area has been tightened as a precautionary measure.
Is the incident linked to Rane’s pro-Hindutva statements?
In recent days, Nitesh Rane has reportedly received threats, allegedly linked to his outspoken pro-Hindutva statements. The minister has frequently made headlines for his controversial speeches at public events.
Meanwhile, political tensions escalated further after Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi allegedly made derogatory remarks against Rane, reportedly calling him a "dwarf minister” and issuing a threat to cut off his tongue.
