Telangana: Vice Principal suspended for sexually harassing student

Hyderabad: A female vice-principal was suspended from a Gurukul school in Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar district for sexually harassing a class 10 student, tv9 telugu reported.

The incident came to light when SHE teams visited the school, as a part of sexual crimes awareness programme. As the awareness programme continued, the student complained about the harassment over a year.

The student said that the vice-principal harassed her several times by showing her pornographic videos. The police registered a POCSO case and started investigating the incident.

The accused identified as Rajyalakshmi was suspended for harassment while the principal, Rajini Ragamala was suspended for failing to protect the student and negligence.

Teacher assaults student, damages ear drum:

In another incident that occurred last month, a teacher at Swaminarayan International Gurukul School in Jadcharla, Mahabubnagar district, assaulted a class 8 student for allegedly not completing homework.

The student’s ear drum was damaged and his parents feared hearing loss. The parents held a protest at the school demanding accountability and medical care for their son. As per reports, the teacher was suspended.

Earlier this week, in another shocking incident, a private school caretaker was arrested after assaulting a student in kindergarten by kicking, beating and stepping on her. The assault captured on camera, went viral online and led to the arrest of the woman.
