London: Beth Tsangarides from the UK suffers from rare allergic triggers. The young woman cannot laugh or cry without experiencing a burning sensation afterwards, as her body is left with a lingering effect. She cannot even smell certain spices, as they too contribute to anaphylaxis shock.
Tsangarides has been dealing with the issue since the age of 15. It all started one morning when she woke up with a rash on her face. She explained, "Everything I do affects my skin or my body in some way. Whether I'm laughing too much or crying or emotional, my skin can start flaring. It feels like I'm being burned alive, it's excruciating," according to Mirror.
Beth Tsangarides's allergy was first triggered in her teens
Since then, it has remained a mystery to medical experts. Every time her body is triggered, her skin burns and develops scabs. In addition to the reactions on her skin, the woman also suffers from seizures. With no answers from doctors, the woman says that her family thinks that she is "allergic to herself". "Medical professionals say I'm a medical mystery and that this is something they have never seen before. They don't understand how a body can do something like this," said Beth.
She revealed that he was sensitive to food due to the spices or other ingredients in it. "Pasta is my best friend, because it's the only thing I've never had a reaction to. I try to stick to plain things like plain chicken nuggets," said Beth.
At the age of 18, Beth was diagnosed with PoTS, a condition that increases your heart rate when you stands up. Meanwhile, the woman continues to battle the skin issues. "No matter what I do, even if someone else with PoTS can do something, my body reacts differently to it," said the woman.
