New Delhi: Several significant details have emerged in the Udaipur rape case, days after an IT employee was allegedly raped by her company’s CEO and a co-staffer inside a car. The latest development reveals that the car’s dashcam recorded conversations between the accused during the incident.
In her statement, the survivor alleged that three people were involved in the horrific crime. She claimed that the CEO, a senior female executive, and the executive’s husband were present. The victim also suffered serious injuries to her body.
What happened that night?
According to the complaint, when the victim regained consciousness, she noticed injuries on her body and experienced severe pain in her private parts. She subsequently realised that she had been sexually assaulted inside the car.
The IT employee then checked the car’s dashcam, which allegedly recorded the incident along with conversations between the accused. She later filed a police complaint, submitting the dashcam footage as evidence, along with details of the injuries she had sustained.
In her complaint, the survivor also stated that some of her jewellery, socks, and undergarments were missing, an NDTV report said.
Case handed over to ACP
Considering the seriousness of the case, the investigation has been handed over to Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma. The incident involves a Udaipur-based IT firm, whose CEO allegedly committed the crime along with another employee. The survivor was working as a manager at the same company.
According to the woman’s complaint and a PTI report, three individuals were involved—the CEO, a female employee of the firm, and the female employee’s husband. The husband is a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
