The police said that not only did Ambesh kill his parents, but he also chopped off their bodies and packed them into sacks and disposed them in a river. The gruesome details of the murder were revealed after the arrest of Ambesh. He confessed to killing his parents after an argument.

The man reportedly told investigators that he had married a Muslim woman some 5 years back. But his parents, especially his father, Shyam Bahadur refused to accept the marriage. He did not allow Ambesh's wife to enter the house. This continued, even after Ambesh and his wife had children and continued to remain married for 5 years. Ultimately, the couple decided to part ways, but Ambesh's wife asked for an alimony of Rs 5 lakh.

Ambesh approached his father to help him with the huge alimony amount, but his father refused. This led to an argument between the 2 on December 8. At one point in the argument, as his mother also joined in, Ambesh picked up a sil batta (grinding stone) and hit her on the head. His shocked father tried to call for help, as his wife lay their wreathing in pain.

However Ambesh did not allow him to seek help and started hitting him also with the stone. The elderly couple died soon after.

Accused lied to sister, switched off phone

The deceased couple had 3 daughters and 1 son, Ambesh. After killing his parents, Ambesh started working on destroying evidence. Initially he tried to look for a huge bag to dispose of the dead bodies. But he did not find any in the house. So he resorted to stuffing the bodies into small packets, after cutting them into pieces.

The man reportedly chopped up the dead bodies of his parents into 6 pieces and then put them in sacks. He put the sacks into his car's boot and then disposed of them into a river.

Ambesh then called up one of his sister's Vandan and told her that their parents had left home after an argument with him. He told her that he was going to search for them, after which he switched off his phone.

When his sister tried to contact him, she discovered that his phone was switched off. She then approached the police and registered a missing complaint for her parents as well as her brother.

The police started investigating soon after the complaint was registered. The suspicion fell on Ambesh, as his mobile phone continued to remain switched off. The man suddenly reappeared in Jaunpur, 6 days later on December 14. When his sisters and other relatives questioned him about his parents whereabouts, he gave them evasive answers.

Later his sisters called the police. In the initial questioning, he tried to mislead the police as well, but under immense police pressure, he cracked and confessed to killing his parents.

The police then started a hunt for the bodies. So far they havbe recovered just a part of Bahadur's body. They have also managed to recover the murder weapon (grinding stone) and the saw used to chop off the dead bodies. Efforts are on to locate other body parts, said a police official.
